Crisis Response, Community Led

CRCL is a mobile, community-led service that provides mental health support to people 13 years and older who are experiencing a mental health crisis.

Find Your Local CRCL

Crisis can look different for everyone. You might reach out for help if you are:

• Feeling grief, panic, or anxiety

• Feeling or acting in ways that are different or distressing

• Experiencing thoughts of self-harm

• Experiencing thoughts of suicide

• Concerned for the wellbeing of someone who may be experiencing a mental health crisis

Providing a mental health response to a mental health crisis.

When you reach out, a CRCL dispatcher will answer and assess your incoming call or text. If you or someone you care about is experiencing a mental health crisis that could benefit from in-person support, CRCL will send a team of trained crisis responders to reduce distress, provide safety and support, help with referrals to other services and offer post-crisis follow-up.

CRCL can come to you, on your terms, to listen with understanding and compassion.

Driven By Lived Experience

CRCL was developed thanks to the longstanding advocacy of people with lived experience of mental health challenges, and the service has been built with the leadership and guidance of lived expertise. CRCL services are delivered by people with a combination of lived expertise and professional experience in mental health.
